  Special Message from Neil Taylor
I would just like to thank everyone for Saturday it was much appreciated. Special mentions must go to Pauline who organised the little get together after the game.

Special mentions must also go to Andy and Pauline, I don't know what I would have done without these two people by my side.
Pauline; what an absolute fantastic parent rep she has been for the under 14s I don't think people realise how much she does for the team, she has been an absolute rock to me sometimes giving me loads of grief (text messages ha ha) but always there for me when I needed her, thanks Pauline (FLOWER)
Andy; what great coach this lad is. I know I am leaving this team in capable hands he is always there to give advise on match days and as always we are usually thinking the same things. I can not thank him enough for what he has done, we started as colleagues but I now class him as a true friend (THANKS MUCKER)

Last of all i would just like to thank all the player and parents that I have been involved with over the last three seasons there are to many to mention but some of the girls from the sixteen's thanks for the memories and i wish you
luck in what ever path you take.

I wish all the teams involved with Derby County Ladies the best of luck for the rest of the season lets get some more titles and cups in the cabinet and then perhaps the FA will see we deserve to be centre of excellence status.

Good luck U14s (Up The Rams) can't believe I just said that being a Wolves fan.

Neil

Central Warwickshire Girls League

Scorers: GREEN(2), ROBERTS(3), BLACKWELL, DENHAM, KILMARTIN(3), WEST

Villa kicked off but it was Derby straight onto the attack winning a corner in the 1st minute, from Michelle’s corner the ball was half cleared but CHLOE GREEN made no mistake slotting the loose ball home from 12yrds. 1 – 0

Derby ahead so early in the game started to play some good one touch football and Bianca & Michelle came close to adding to the score, from Michelle’s corner after 8mins  Derby increased their lead as SARAH ROBERTS headed home at the far post. 2 – 0

Villa tried to get back in the game but Derby were looking very good going forward and they nearly increased their lead on the counter attack as Jade’s cross shot landed on the roof of the net. The next goal soon arrived as a good through ball by Chloe Flinn set BIANCA DENHAM through on goal, she held the last defender off well before scoring with a low shot. 3 – 0

Derby continued to push forward playing good football and Bianca went close on a couple of occasions before SARAH ROBERTS controlled a cross well, rounded the keeper and slotted home. 4 – 0

Bianca went close again bringing a good save out of the away keeper as she controlled a long Emily kick before firing in a good shot, but on 27min Villa pulled a goal back from the penalty spot as Chloe Flinn was penalized for a tackle from behind in the box., the Villa player giving Emily no chance with the penalty. 4 – 1

Derby responded by going back on the attack with Bianca, Michelle and Chloe Green all going close, then on 31min Derby thought they would get a penalty of their own as Michelle rounded the keeper only to be ruby tackled to the ground, amazingly the ref waived play on. Derby continued to go for goal and in the next attack Sarah hit the cross bar, Bianca hit the rebound well but her shot was cleared off the line and Michelle hit that clearance to bring a good save out of the keeper.

Derby increased their lead on the stoke of half time as Bianca won a corner from Emily’s long kick, Michelle’s corner was well headed home at the far post by CHLOE GREEN. 5- 1

HT 5 – 1

Derby quickly went on the attack at the start of the second half with Sarah having a shot well saved in the 1st min. at the expense of a corner, from Michelle’s corner the ball was cleared to Becky 25yrds out who shot just over. In the 4th min Derby increased their lead as MICHELLE KILMARTIN headed home from Sarah’s cross. 6 – 1

Villa continued to try and get back in the game but found Derby’s defence in top form as Beth, Becky, Danielle, Chloe Green, Jodie and Charlotte all took it in turns to clear dangerous long balls.  After 10mins Bianca held up the ball well from a quickly taken throw in then crossed to SARAH ROBERTS  who shot home from a tight angle to complete her hat trick.  7 – 1

The next attack increased the lead as Chloe Flinn went on a good run into the box before crossing to the far post to JADE BLACKWELL who made no mistake from 6yrds out. 8 – 1

With 10mins left MICHELLE KILMARTIN completed her hat trick as she volleyed home from a Charlotte cross. 10 – 1

Derby continued to look for further goals as Michelle and Bianca shot wide and they increased their lead from an unlikely source as BETH WEST tapped home at the far post for her 1st goal of the season after a great run by Michelle who crossed unselfishly to her. 11 – 1

A good win against a Villa team who played better than the score line suggests

Fordhouse Ladies 1 - 2 Derby County Ladies

Central Warwickshire Girls League

Scorers: GREEN, KILMARTIN

After a short break the second game of the morning kicked off and was a completely different game Derby knowing they had won the league were off the pace as Fordhouse needing the win to confirm the runners up spot wanted the game more.

The first 10mins passed with little to report other than Fordhouse were very strong in the tackles to stop the girls getting going but half chances began to be created with Sarah just shooting wide a couple of times and Bianca bring a good save out of the keeper.

On 18min  Michelle headed over from a Jemma corner and Chloe Green won a clearance on the half way line before going on a run and shooting to bring another good save from the away keeper

HT 0 – 0

The second half continued with Derby looking static at times and it came as no surprise when Fordhouse took a deserved lead after 2min. A free kick from the wing was crossed into the Derby area, the ball fell to the feet of a Fordhouse player who made no mistake putting the ball past an exposed Emily  0 – 1

A minute later Emily came out to the edge of the box well to close down the danger from an attack and from her long ball Michelle shot over from distance. After 6 mins Derby equalized slightly fortunately as CHLOE GREEN floated in a free kick from 40yrds out, everyone missed the ball as it arrived in the area and it took one bounce before dropping in the bottom corner of the net. 1 – 1

The game continued with Fordhouse looking the stronger side but in the last minute Bianca won a corner, Jemma floated in the corner which was cleared out to Becky on the wing, she immediately crossed back into the box where MICHELLE KILMARTIN won the ball off the last defender and shot past the keeper to put Derby 2 – 1 ahead.

Fordhouse threw everyone forward from the kick off but the ball was cleared to Louisa who had the last kick of the game as she shot against the post to nearly increase Derby lead

Derby County Ladies 5 - 1 Fordhouse Ladies

Central Warwickshire Girls League

Scorers: DENHAM (3), BLACKWELL, GREEN

Today Derby played Fordhouse in a double header knowing 1 win would guarantee them winning the league. Derby kicked off and looked to score immediately as Bianca did well to hold off a defender before firing in a low shot which went inches wide. Fordhouse gradually got into the game and on 4min Emily did well to save a free kick from the edge of the box. Derby took the lead on 7min as BIANCA DENHAM chased a hope full ball into the box where she out fought the defender and then coolly slotted the ball past the keeper. 1 – 0

Derby nearly increased their lead immediately from a long kick from Emily, Jemma touched the ball onto Louisa who advanced down the wing before firing in a good low cross which was agonizingly was missed by everyone. Fordhouse responded by winning a corner but this was well headed clear by Danielle under pressure and from their next attack Emily kicked long out of her hands to Michelle who flicked the ball onto BIANCA DENHAM who controlled the ball well before shooting low into the bottom corner of the net. 2 – 0

Fordhouse continued to try and get back in the game as they showed why they are second in the league as Emily had to be alert after 17mins to save on the line from a corner. Derby responded though by increasing their lead as Bianca did well to beat a couple of players in midfield before crossing to the far post where JADE BLACKWELL met the ball with a first time volley to plant the ball past the keeper.
